ANSI 215 - Introduction to Food Law 3 Hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): ANSI 131 - Introduction to Food Science minimum grade C. This course will expose students to the role of law, mandatory, and optional food regulations exercised by state, federal, and international agencies on food quality, safety, wholesomeness, nutrition, and security. This course will study how all agencies involved with food production and regulation work together for the safety of food supplies. The information provided in this course will allow industry and governmental officials to understand the laws set forth in federal codes and how they are determined, regulated, and enforced at many levels of government in the food industry.
