PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Liberal Arts and Sciences is a restricted program and cannot be declared as a major without special permissionfrom the Director of Advising. Students on the Associate in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Degree (AGS) plan should note that while their courses may transfer, they are required to take an additional English and Math course requirement to obtain a bachelor’s degree. Students should check the degree requirements at transfer institutions. This degree fulfills the College’s mission of developing skills in written communication, oral communication, and critical thinking while advancing knowledge in diversity and social responsibility. The semester-by-semester plans described below are general guidance. Students should work closely with theiracademic advisors to develop a plan that best meets their own individual needs and goals.
