PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Associate in Applied Science in Emergency Medical Technician Technology is a paramedic program. The mission of theprogram is to continuously improve the quality of EMS education through accreditation and recognition services for the full range of EMS professions. The programis designed around a flipped classroom model where the core content is delivered and completed on the students’ own time outside the classroom. Delivery of thecore content includes a variety of methods involving video, podcast, and exercises. The graduates are eligible to challenge the National Registry certification exam to become both national and state certified as a paramedic. This credential fulfills the College’s mission of developing skills in communication and problem solving while promoting a strong work ethic. The semester-by-semester plans described below are general guidance. Students should work closely withtheir academic advisors to develop a plan that best meets their own individual needs and goals.
