PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Associate in Science degree in Cybersecurity is a program that prepares students with a diverse set of skills that include the fundamentals of software development along with a special focus on computer security. The program prepares students to seek industry-based certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CompTIA Security+ and Project+. Completion of the AS degree may help students obtain internships or entry-level jobs or transfer credits to a university to complete a Bachelor of Science degree. This degree fulfills the College’s mission of developing skills in written communication, oral communication, and critical thinking while advancing knowledge in cultural diversity and social responsibility. The semester-by-semester plans described below are general guidance. Students should work closely with their academic advisors to develop a plan that best meets their own individual needs and goals.
