MATH 107 - Intermediate Algebra T> 3 Hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): High School cumulative >=3.0 and <3.0 in subject OR High School cumulative GPA 2.5 - 3.0 OR GED Test score 155-164 OR ACT Math score 21 OR SAT Math score 530 OR ACCUPLACER QR/Algebra score 250-262 OR Beginning Algebra (MATH 006 or MATH-106) minimum grade C. Note: Math test scores valid for 3 years. This course develops the concepts of algebra to prepare a student for a college level algebra course. Intermediate Algebra includes the study of the computations and properties of real numbers and sets; arithmetic and algebraic manipulation of quadratics, rational expressions, expressions containing rational exponents, radicals, complex numbers, and functions; solving linear equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations, quadratic equations, and absolute value equations and inequalities; graphing and analysis of linear equations and inequalities; quadratic functions, and systems of linear equations; polynomial division; advanced factoring techniques; appropriate application problems, and graphing calculator skills to be integrated throughout the course.
