INPR 258 - Introduction to Conveyor Systems

Prerequisite(s): INPR 131 - Shop Operations  and INPR 134 - Mechanical Systems  minimum grade C.
This course introduces the students to conveying systems. Students will learn fundamentals and operational characteristics of various types of conveying systems. Students will also learn ways of analyzing problems that arise with conveyor systems and how to maintain conveyors to keep small problems from becoming large ones. Students will be exposed to procedures for proper assembly, disassembling, and repairing conveyors. Students will learn about fans and blowers utilized in pneumatic conveying systems and how to properly install them. Hands-on labs will guide student learners to assimilate this material.
