INPR 190 - Industrial Programmable Logic Controls 3 Hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): INPR 114 - OSHA 10 and INPR 131 - Shop Operations minimum grade C. This course introduces the use of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs). Emphasis is placed on, but not limited to, the following: PLC hardware and software, numbering systems, installation, and programming. Participants may select either processor in programming basic bit-level logic functions, timers, and counters. Sequential programming techniques are also introduced on problems simulating industrial situations. Upon completion, students must demonstrate their ability by developing, loading, debugging, and optimizing PLC programs.
