DRAM 231 - Directing I 3 Hour(s)
This course teaches the basic principles, theories, and practices of directing in the theatre. Students will read and discuss major practices of directions, as well as learn various theories of casting, conceptualization, staging, and scenework; this includes basic script analysis and dramaturgy. Students will present several short scenes of their direction for feedback and discussion, as well as watch productions and provide analysis.
