COSM 115 - Cosmetology V

Prerequisite(s): COSM 114 - Cosmetology IV minimum grade D.
This course follows requirements of the Kansas Board of Cosmetology (KBOC). This course is offered to master the fundamentals acquired through and study review of Introduction to COSM 110 - Introduction to Cosmetology Bridge and COSM 111 - Cosmetology I , COSM 112 - Cosmetology II , and COSM 113 - Cosmetology III in preparation for the KBOC practical examination. Advanced course study will include lightening, color, hair styling, and lashing techniques and services, facial machine, and artificial nail enhancement services. A written practical examination must be scheduled and completed upon the completion of 1,500 clock hours. For the cosmetology practitioner’s license, students must complete the written theory and written practical examinations with a score of 75% or higher. Lab time 100%. Course offered Summer semesters.
