Food Safety is a comprehensive course that covers all aspects that pertain to food safety in the processing world. Key concepts will include Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), current food safety regulations, understanding the concepts of HACCP, food processing sanitation, biological hazards and controls, interventions and controls in meat processing, physical and chemical hazards, recall regulations and building a recall plan.
