Prerequisite(s): Placement is determined through multiple measures according to college policy.
This course is designed to develop thinking and reasoning skills necessary for success in vocational, two-year, and transfer programs as a co-requisite to a college-level transfer course. The focus of the course is on improvement of higher order comprehension skills, reading techniques and becoming an efficient reader by applying critical and inferential thinking skills to college texts. Emphasis is on the transfer and application of comprehension, critical thinking, vocabulary and study skills to college course material. Students must receive a grade of “C” or higher. This course does not meet degree requirements.
