READ 093 - College Reading

Prerequisite(s): Placement is deteremined through multiple measures according to college policy or a “C” or higher in READ 092 Reading Improvement.
This course is designed to develop thinking and reasoning skills necessary for success in vocational, two-year, and transfer programs. Emphasis is on improvement of higher order comprehension skills, reading techniques and becoming an efficient reader by applying critical and inferential thinking skills to college texts. Students must receive a garde of “C” or higher. This course does not meet degree requirements.
