Financial Literacy for Life is a survey course that covers basic economic principles individuals will need to use to manage their money as a consumer, understand the dynamics of the job market and how overall economic policies affect them. Topics include introductions to the concepts of wants/needs, scarcity, economic resources, opportunity cost, production possibilities, consumer choice theory, supply & demand, GDP, unemployment, inflation and market structure. This course is particularly tailored for students who do not plan on majoring in business or economics.
