CRIM 223 - Police Firearms III (Semi-Automatics)

Prerequisite(s): CRIM 121 - Police Firearms I minimum grade C and department consent required. Legal and physical restrictions apply.
This is an advanced combat firearms course for Criminal Justice majors and in-service officers. Emphasis will be placed on the semi-automatic pistol including weapon familiarization, safety, maintenance, and shooting basics utilizing a variety of combat courses. A review of legal responsibility to weapon use in law enforcement will be given. The use of cover, multiple targets and shoot/don’t shoot decision making will be included.
