PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course is designed around a flipped classroom model where the core content is delivered and completed on the students’ own time at home, and the classroom is used to master the skills for basic patient care. The class is taught on campus or as an outreach course in local communities. Completers are eligible to challenge the National Registry certification exam to become both national and state certified as an EMT. Students should work closely with their academic advisors to develop a plan that best meets their own individual needs and goals.
