PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Computer Support Specialist Associate in Applied Science is a program which includes the Certificate A and Certificate B curriculum and technical and communication areas of training include the development of skills in hardware, software, networking, written communication, verbal communication, and problem solving. The completed program prepares students for the industry recognized CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ certification exams, to join the computer support workforce or to continue their education. This credential fulfills the College’s mission of developing skills in communication and problem solving while promoting a strong work ethic. The semester-by-semester plans described below are general guidance. Students should work closely with their academic advisors to develop a plan that best meets their own individual needs and goals.
