Prerequisite(s): High School cumulative GPA >= 3.0 or higher and C- or higher in second semester Algebra 2 or Integrated Math 3 OR GED Math score 165 or above OR ACT Math score 19 or above OR SAT Math score 510 or above OR ACCUPLACER QR/Algebra score 255 or above OR concurrent enrollment in MATH 010 Fundamentals of Statistics Companion  .
This course is the study of the methods in mathematics used for statistical decision making. It includes a basic introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Some applications to biology, business, industry and psychology are covered. The objectives of the course include the applications of statistical inference to contemporary problem solving.
